About Fenwick Library

Fenwick Library, located centrally on the Fairfax campus, is George Mason University's main research library and houses the majority of the University Libraries' 1.5 million volumes. Fenwick is a hub of research services, learning spaces, digital technology, and numerous resources for the Mason community. The facility, renovated and expanded in 2016, is modern and bright, and contains both traditional and compact shelving with modular furniture that accommodates individual study and group collaboration.

Fenwick Library houses the state-of-the-art Special Collections Research Center (SCRC), as well as the Data & Digital Scholarship Services unit, the Research Commons, and the offices of most subject specialist librarians.
